| The American Heart Association helps teach health care professionals on how to manage and treat infants and children in emergency situations through the PALS course. The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training and certification course is provided by the American Heart Association at any ACLS training center located near you. The ACLS online course is divided into three major stages with part one covering theory while parts two and three involve practical training on the required skills and techniques. You will be provided with the study material for part one, which you have to master and pass an assessment test before moving on to an ACLS training center for parts two and three. The American Heart Association provides a list of all the institutions they have accredited to provide training and certification in PALS, BLS, and ACLS online courses for health care professionals and other interested individuals. You should confirm that the institution you register with for any of these courses belongs to the list so that you get the genuine training and certification.
