| Volleyball drills are very important to help you strengthen, improve your volleyball skills and have better coordination on the field. There are three main categories of volleyball drills. • Skill and movement specific drills. This is the most common type and offers beneficial skills through a repetition of movements. It can be done by the coach standing somewhere like on a chair and hitting the ball. In the meantime, the players can line up and take turns to block the ball. This develops both their blocking and footwork skills. • Volleyball conditioning skills. This type of volleyball drills build endurance. It also keeps all players in shape. • Tactical volleyball drills. This type of drill is focused on team work. Even as some skills are developed, the main focus still remains on teamwork. As a result, the team is able to identify both its strengths and weaknesses thus enabling them to minimize their weaknesses and work together as a team. Also, it helps the team have better communication. Teamwork is very important for volleyball to be successful.
