Minerals such as nitrates and phosphates are also measured. Oxygen and ozone is also checked.

Moreover, there are other instruments such as Aquarium Air Pumps. The air pumps are used in enhancing the circulation of air within the marine, reef and freshwater aquarium environments. Air circulation is very essential in supporting the life of the aquarium biodiversity. The aquarium life uses oxygen for their respiratory and metabolism activities. When they are deprived of oxygen, they become suffocated and can eventually die. The air circulation is also useful in maintaining the required pH. There are high efficient pumps, which have features such as regenerative blowers, air valves and diffusers.

Other equipments that can be applied in promoting the healthy living of the aquarium life are Aquarium Chillers. These are used in cooling the waters. They are applicable when the temperatures of the water deviate from the normal range. Besides, there are other equipments such as UV Sterilizers, which use the Ultraviolet rays to treat the waters. The rays are capable of eliminating pathogens such as virus, bacteria and protozoa, which could invade the aquarium life harming or even causing death to the biodiversity.
