Why Van Equipment Is An Organizational Necessity

A van is a great vehicle for storing tools and equipment that you need on the job. The problem is, once it's packed inside, it can be difficult to get just the thing that you need. Van equipment is an organizational necessity.

American Van equipment ranges from interior shelving to a van rack for your ladders. The more you do to create an easily accessible place for each piece of equipment and gear, the more efficient you will be when you need a specific tool. A panel to separate the cargo area from the driving area is a great way to start. When installed, it prevents the contents of the cargo area from shifting into your area. It also forms one side of the rectangle you can use for shelving.

Van shelving comes in a variety of configurations. Some is on wheels to permit you to slide it back and forth across the width of the van, giving you more than one shelf per side. With tarps stored in one area, brushes in another and paint in dedicated racks, a painter can get in and out with what he needs, without going through the contents of the truck at each job. This is no different for an electrician who can store circuit breakers and fixtures in one area, tools in another and spools of wire where they're easy to reach.
